Fashion, flashing lights, electronica and YSL lipstick; If those things seem even slightly amusing, then you'll probably be entertained by my musings. From indie bands, and trends, to new, cutting-edge labels, I try and keep you up to date with all of the hip happenings that I hear about on my site, Façade. Here, you get my rants and the occasional recap of my day. Boring? Never. Fashionable? Always. Witty? Of course! Prepared to be amused. Oh, and shoot me a line with anything cool in the fields of art, music, photography and fashion that you come up with. Maybe I'll feature it on Façade!

As fashion week approaches my life is becoming increasingly hectic. Of course it's a good hectic, but hectic never the less. There are all these lovely parties and affairs to attend, and not enough time for sleep... In any case, last night was the "Five on Five" party at Niketown. It was was rather fun, might I add. I looked rather yummy with my pencil dress and Liberty Dunks. I wish I had someone take a picture now... My boys were there (the whole BBC Ice Cream crew). They kept me cracking up as usual. I also made two new girl friends (yay!) Overall, great night. Shouts to the Twins (Dee and Ricky), Scott, OJ, and J-Swizzy and everyone else who came out last night!
Alright, so I must say I'm thoroughly enjoying my newfound freedom... This past Sunday evening my boys Theophilus and Machinedrum hosted a rooftop barbecue out in Brooklyn. It was very intimate, which is always a plus. I just love getting to actually sit and chat with people. Jesse Boykins III popped by for a few, and it was nice to see him again after the video shoot a few weeks ago. The music was great (because Theo and Travis are amazing artists with impeccable taste!) They also performed/premiered a new track for us-- dope as usual. We were partying well into the night, rounding up the party with Ethiopian music (oh, and a Christmas carol or two--lmao!) The best time I've ever had on a Sunday? Pretty much :)
Apparently, certain things make me giggle. I am realizing now that tongue-in-cheek double entendre, or veiled drug references in songs make me surprisingly (and inexplicably happy.) Well, if you haven't heard the new N.E.R.D. track, yet, I'd suggest you do so. Its much better than Flo Rida (who, is also inexplicably, holding the #1 spot on the Billboard charts.) I've surmised that music is dead. Oh well, f*** major record labels. All they do is spew out mass produced crap for mass consumption that the lemmings of our society will happily cosign on. Will I? Never!
